A driving rain began to fall as I ambled toward Jelačićeva. I took shelter under a canopy of umbrellas at the VIP Cafe on Cvjetni Trg. The waiter brought me a macchiato. I nibbled on bread and prosciutto between sips while waiting for the downpour to subside.
