If you’re at work, this is not the time to view this post. Posted below is a clip of what I believe to be the very essence of the latenight Zagreb television program Noćna Mora. If I needed to describe the show to an American (and I suppose I am here), I’d say it’s a cross between Jackass, Jerry Springer and a David Lynch film. In this segment, Jaran (whose dental predicament prevents him from trilling R’s and pronouncing his own name correctly) struggles through the news, much to the agony of fellow cast and crew. I don’t know Jaran’s story, but I’d appreciate any info if my Zagreb friends have a minute to comment.
I read Croatian a little better than Jaran, but not by much.
